Dr. Alan Mickish M.D. joined B&W in early 2008 after relocating from his busy medical practice in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex region. He has been practicing medicine in the state of Texas for 40+ years since receiving his medical license. He also maintains a medical license in Colorado. He is on the active staff of Eastland Memorial Hospital and is a member of the American Medical Association.
He graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed post graduate training in Fort Worth at John Peter Smith Hospital in general medicine. He originally started his medical career in family practice at the Northwest Medical Clinic in Fort Worth with a group of three other doctors, before changing to the full time practice of Emergency Medicine at St. Joesph Hospital in Fort Worth a few years later. He resumed his career in family practice in Irving, in 1992, where he practiced full-time for some 16 years prior to relocating to Eastland. He enjoys his current rural practice of medicine as well as spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. He loves to travel; is a horseman and outdorsman, enjoying many ancillary activities as time allows.
Dr. Mickish considers it a privilege to be able to be part of a team of medical professionals at B&W that help provide quality medical care to the residents of Eastland county.
Dr. Kevin Cunningham DO MPH grew up in Crowley, Texas and went to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas for his undergraduate degree. He then traveled to Texas Tech University and the University of North Texas Health Science Center to earn his masters and medical degrees respectively. He trained at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and is board certified in Family Medicine. He completed his Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He currently has special interests in public health, rural health, and teaching. Outside of work, Dr. Cunningham enjoys spending time outdoors or with his wife and two daughters.
He also actively participates at Saint Francis Xavier parish and enjoys mission work. He has traveled to Mexico, Haiti, Zambia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. Dr. Cunningham is bilingual in English and Spanish.
